Mike Pence Launching Presidential Campaign on June 7

According to a report, former Vice President, Mike Pence will launch his presidential campaign on June 7. Pence’s presidential bid puts him in opposition of his former President, Donald Trump who is looking for a second term.

According to NBC News, Pence will announce his presidential campaign in Lowa with a video speech. The announcement puts Pence up against other GOP candidates including Trump, Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, Tim Scott, Asa Hutchinson, Doug Burgum, and Nikki Haley.

While there are multiple candidates from Republicans, Donald Trump is the main contender. For all remaining GOP candidates, they have to contend with Trump and get the support. The 2024 US Presidential elections are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Nominations from both Democrats and Republicans are likely to be announced early next year.
