North Korea has detained a US Solider who crossed the Inter - Korean border
The US Solider was detained after he crossed the demarcation line separating North and South Korea

There has been a historical deadlock in the relations between America and North Korea

The main reason for declining US and North Korea relations has been the missile tests done by North Korea
North Korea is also a strategic partner of Russia, the rival country of the USA
US soldiers are stationed on the South Korean side of the border under the United Nations Command.
